San Marcos, Texas Couples & Engagement Photography
As a San Marcos, Texas photographer, I love to take advantage of the beautiful natural areas that my city provides. From the many points along the iconic San Marcos River to all of the parks and trails, there are so many beautiful spots in this city to take photos!
This session from last summer was particularly special because I did graduation photos for both Anna & Will when they were students at Texas State, and then their engagement photos, and eventually, their wedding! (Coming to the blog soon!) These two are so fun and so full of joy, and they delight in each other so much. Couples like them make my job so easy.
After listening to their first dance song to heighten the romantic vibes, they switched outfits and I switched up my lens. I used a fun little lens called Pocket Dispo which makes your photos look like they were taken with a classic disposable camera! As a 90's kid, it gives me all the feels, and it really helps to evoke the real-time nostalgia that I love to capture in my photography. As we know, I love to incorporate movement and fun prompts into all my sessions, and I absolutely love when couples trust me enough to be down for anything I suggest! For Anna & Will, that involved a lot of running towards and away from my camera, sneaking up on each other, and Will carrying Anna on his back! The love and the trust that these two have in each other gives them such freedom to be silly and playful. All I had to do was point my lens towards them to create magic.
