A beautiful summer wedding ceremony in the heart of the Texas Hill Country
Throwing it back to one of my favorite wedding days! Brenda and I met when I did her graduation photos, and I was so honored when she reached out to have me photograph her wedding! Brenda and her now-husband Peter wanted a simple ceremony filled with all of their closest friends & family, so they selected Chapel Dulcinea as the backdrop for their best day ever.
If you've never been before, Chapel Dulcinea is a non-profit outdoor wedding chapel located in the hills of Driftwood, Texas - only 20 miles from downtown Austin! And the best part is it's FREE (you can pay to reserve Friday-Sunday evenings) to reserve your ceremony time slot, making it a great choice for micro-weddings, elopements, or couples that are looking to allocate their wedding funds toward other parts of their big day. The staff that runs Chapel D are absolute pros, making your wedding day as seamless and smooth as possible. I've shot at Chapel D multiple times and have had a wonderful experience each time!
Brenda & Peter's ceremony was sweet, simple, and beautiful. I got emotional when Brenda's brother teared up walking his sister down the aisle; there wasn't a dry eye in the chapel! Watching the bride & groom recite their handwritten vows to each other while watching the flower girls run around the chapel trying to hand people rose petals was just the sweetest. There was so much joy and excitement from everyone in attendance!
One of the signature parts of the Chapel Dulcinea wedding experience is ringing the bells in the bell tower after your ceremony. Hearing those bells ring out over the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country is such a fun moment and signals to everyone around that another happy marriage has happened at Chapel Dulcinea!
We ended our time together with a sweet little portrait session of the bride & groom on the Chapel Dulcinea grounds before Brenda & Peter made their way to a small dinner with their friends & family who were in attendance.
