Golden Hour Engagement Photography in New Braunfels, Texas
Golden hour in New Braunfels gave us the most dreamy backdrop for Aaron & Bri’s engagement session. These two are getting married this December, and their session was the perfect way to capture this season of anticipation before their big day. The soft light, the delight that they have in each other, and the gentle ease that they have together as a couple created such a natural rhythm to the evening.
From the very beginning, we wanted the session to feel both spontaneous and cinematic. Aaron and Bri have such an easy connection, so blending playful, candid moments with gentle posing came naturally. I love to start sessions like this with a lot of movement to help settle any potential nerves. It's amazing how much couples loosen up in front of the camera after moving around a little bit! One second they were laughing mid-spin, the next they were still and quiet, soaking in the moment together. Those shifts between lighthearted movement and quiet intimacy gave so much variety and really helped evoke so much emotion in these photos.
New Braunfels was the perfect setting for their love story to shine. The mix of wide-open skies and warm textures of the landscape gave their photos a timeless, romantic feel. As the sun dipped lower, everything seemed to glow, wrapping the couple in golden light that made each frame feel like a scene from a film. It’s always such a gift when the environment enhances the story we’re telling. That combined with the trust and comfort of the couple makes for a beautiful, effortless-feeling photo session.
I cannot wait to celebrate Aaron & Bri again this winter as they step into marriage surrounded by their loved ones. And I'm excited to be a guest at their wedding, something I don't get to do often during busy season! This engagement session was such a sweet glimpse into who they are together: joyful, tender, and deeply connected.
